The Arsenal midfielder hit the headlines when he was pictured outside a nightclub having a cheeky cigarette.
The image prompted outcry from Arsenal supporters, the manager took his stance not agreeing with the behaviour while plenty of others didn’t see what all the fuss was about.
Needless to say, the incident prompted a ‘he smokes when he wants chant’ about Wilshere as the Gunners secured a 1-1 draw away at West Brom to keep their impressive form this season going.
Wilshere wasn’t at his best but he managed to grab the equaliser yesterday which prompted mass repetition of the chant which will now probably become intrinsically linked with his surname.
He will be a crucial part of this Arsenal side if the Gunners win some silverware this season and he should be full of confidence heading into England’s World Cup qualifiers against Montenegro and Poland this Friday and next Tuesday.
Love the new song for me today! Haha fans were incredible again! Good point nice to get a goal hopefully a few more to come! #Gooners— Jack Wilshere (@JackWilshere) October 6, 2013
How do you think he played yesterday?
