Januzaj, Allardyce and 5 heroes of the Premier League weekend

Sam Allardyce

Featuring Fulham, Manchester United, Newcastle and West Ham.

Darren Bent

There was a lot of pressure on Fulham manager Martin Jol going into their game against Stoke City after a pretty poor run of form. Bent entered the action midway through the second half and, seven minutes from time, managed to keep his composure to fire home a priceless winner for both the club and the coach.

Adnan Januzaj

David Moyes badly needed a win at rock-bottom Sunderland to try and get some momentum in Manchester United’s league campaign and enter the international break in better spirits. After trailing to an early Craig Gardner strike, Januzaj came up with two very well taken goals that ultimately proved to be the difference between the two sides.

Ravel Morrison

He has been in very impressive form of late, and along with the rest of the West Ham United team, he excelled at White Hart Lane. But Morrison is the stand out hero for his wonderful solo effort to put the icing on the cake for his team.

Loic Remy

Another player who has been enjoying impressive form and two top class finishes gave Newcastle United all three points at a very tricky away fixture at Cardiff City. Newcastle fans will be hoping he carries this form on after the international break.

Sam Allardyce

It is now time to hail Allardyce as a tactical genius once again, as he has cracked the Allardiche gag. Maybe this weekend’s performance of dismantling Tottenham will see offers from the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona. Who knows?
