Tottenham Hotspur have been dealt a humbling blow against West Ham United at White Hart Lane. Coming into the game Tottenham had one of the best defensive records in recent times while West Ham could not buy a goal, so to think this game could end 3-0 to The Hammers would have been a far-fetched fantasy.
In the end it was a bit fortunate when West Ham took the lead, against the run of play.
Winston Reid opened the scoring with a bizarre goal. The New Zealander hammered a header at goal from a Stewart Downing corner, which was blocked on the line by Kevin Nolan before being followed up by Reid for 1-0.
The next goal was similar in its scrappy style, Ricardo Vaz Te benefiting from a deflection off goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
But there was little fluke involved with the third goal. Ravel Morrison demonstrating once again his superb natural ability.
The former Manchester United player picked up the ball in his own half evaded Jan Vertonghen before embarrassing Michael Dawson and putting a nonchalant finish beyond Hugo Lloris to confirm the humbling victory.
