Chelsea travel to Carrow Road to face Norwich looking to bounce back from a disappointing performance against Spurs last weekend.
Meanwhile Chris Hughton’s Norwich side will be hoping they can build on their win away to Stoke City last time out.
It will always be a tough place to travel but Chelsea will be confident that they have the players to come away with a victory.
I’m expecting a narrow Chelsea win with Norwich giving them everything they’ve got, by no means a walkover for Jose Mourinho’s side.
The Blues will need a good result to stay in the touch with their rivals, they can’t afford to drop too many points early on.
Chelsea grabbed a Boxing Day win away to Norwich after a Juan Mata goal close to half time turned out to be the winner. There wasn’t much else to talk about as the home side failed to test Petr Cech in the Chelsea goal.
Five players to watch on Sunday:
Ricky van Wolfswinkel
Norwich’s summer signing has got off to a decent start in his first season and will be pleased to have got off the mark already for the Canaries. The 24-year old will need to bag a few more goals still though to really say he has settled in at Carrow Road.
Chelsea’s player of the year for the past two seasons seems to have finally forced his way into Mourinho’s first team plans and his introduction last weekend seemed to turn the game around for Chelsea. He will be crucial if Chelsea want to challenge for the title this season, he is guaranteed to create chances and even score some goals himself
Eto’o hasn’t had the best start to his Chelsea career and he may be called upon to take up the striking role now that Torres is injured and suspended. He had a hatful of chances against Everton but couldn’t open his account and it would be ideal for the Blues if he could get on the scoresheet this weekend.
The young English talent has been a constant threat for the Norwich attack this season and he has a chance to show what he can do against one of the big boys at home. His pace and trickery have caused problems all season, the 19-year old has a bright future ahead of him.
Andre Schurrle was magnificent for Chelsea in midweek against Steaua, and has placed real pressure on Jose Mourinho to keep him in the line-up. Eden Hazard missed that game with injury, and while in contention to feature this weekend, surely the German signed from Leverkusen this summer is the smart option. It will be fascinating to see if he can continue that form.
