Mizuho announces senior financial institutions IB appointment

Mizuho Bank has announced the appointment of Diane Ferguson as Managing Director and Head of Financial Institutions coverage in its U.S. corporate and investment banking business.

In her new role, Ms. Ferguson is charged with building out the bank’s financial institutions group (FIG) practice. This will include expanding the FIG client base and utilizing the entire Mizuho global platform to serve clients as part of the “One Mizuho” strategy.

Ms. Ferguson joins Mizuho with twenty-five years of experience in the financial institutions sector, having built relationships with a broad range of clients, including commercial banks, specialty finance firms, insurance companies, securities firms and asset managers. Ms. Ferguson comes to Mizuho after spending the past eleven years with the Royal Bank of Scotland. Prior to that, she held senior positions in financial institutions at both Citigroup and BNY Mellon.
