Arsenal defeated Napoli in the Champions League with a superb 2-0 win at the Emirates.
The match saw Mesut Ozil score his first Arsenal goal, a superb effort from the edge following an assist from in-form Aaron Ramsey.
Ozil angle his body to allow the ball to come across his path before side-footing it into the net from 18 yards out, taking the ball beyond the reach of Napoli goalkeeper Pepe Reina.
It was quite some finish, one hailed in the SkySports studio after the game - with Liverpool hero Jamie Carragher describing it as a 'training ground goal.'
Former Tottenham playing legend and manager Glenn Hoddle was seemingly even more impressed, rolling out the superlatives for the German's strike.
"It was wonderful. When you see this, look at how he has cut across it to swerve it beyond the 'keeper."
Hoddle also praised striker Olivier Giroud, whose movement and hunger he believes has made him a different player from last season. Giroud scored the second after a one-two with Mesut Ozil.
"In the first half they were brilliant. They have got the focal point in Giroud, fantastic. If they lose him they have got a problem, he's so confident."
Manager Arsene Wenger was equally struck for words regarding Mesut Ozil's first half display, telling reporters after the game:
"Ozil was absolutely amazing. His performance was what you dream of seeing from the stand when you come to the stadium."
How good was Ozil? Is he worth even more than the fee Arsenal paid for him?
