A round up of the key news stories about Tottenham Hotspur this morning.

Tottenham could spend up to £15 million to try and sign Southampton’s Luke Shaw this January.

The young full back has been linked with several top clubs so far during his career but recently signed a new deal to stay with the South coast club.

AVB reportedly sees a new left-back as one of his main transfer priorities with the club currently relying heavily on the fitness and form of Danny Rose.

Spurs assistant boss Steffan Freund has praised Gylfi Sigurdsson suggesting he’s ‘on fire’.

The midfielder has been one of the stand out players for the club this season, showing consistency which has sometimes been lacking from his game.

“Gylfi is on fire this season, scoring goals and his movement is fantastic from the left coming inside,” he told the club’s website.

Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor is back training with the first team.

The forward was sent to train with the reserve team after returning to England following the death of his brother.

He is yet to be named in one of Andre Villas-Boas’ match day squads this season as he looks to revitalise his career with the North London club.

Gylfi Sigurdsson, have Tottenham seen the best of him yet?
