PICTURE: Arsenal legend hears Wenger may be handing out contracts

Arsenal legend Sol Campbell stopped by the Arsenal training complex to say hello to a couple of mates.

The former Gunners defender has recently been linked with a move back to his old club in a coaching capacity and he took a recent opportunity to stop by Arsenal’s training ground to see a couple of his former teammates were getting on.

Arsene Wenger recently revealed that former player Robert Pires sometimes utilises his old links with the club to train and stay in top physical shape, occasionally working with and training with the youth teams.

If Campbell does hold hopes of a coaching role with the Gunners then he’d certainly be well advised to do something similar.

If he can do a bit of training with the younger sides, imparting a bit of wisdom and knowledge then it could make the Gunners much more willing to hand him a coaching contract in some capacity in the future.

However, Campbell recently blasted the lack of opportunities for black coaches around the UK, describing the current culture as archaic meaning unless Wenger offers him a friendly hand, he may be destined to go abroad.
