Arsenal demolished Napoli tonight, but just how good did they need to be to gain top ratings in the Italian press?
Player ratings are of course subjective - but when not a single Arsenal player is judged worthy of an 8/10 post their 2-0 win over Napoli, then surely something is wrong?
Ozil provided the assist for Giroud's goal, and his performance had manager Arsene Wenger purring, 'absolutely amazing', the Gunners boss drooled after the game.
Not everybody is entirely buying into the post-game hype however, with Italian website TMW issuing their post-game player ratings on their website.
There is no Arsenal player who scores better than 7.5 - this privilege reserved for Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey only.
Ozil they did at least compliment: 'The best in the field...Every action from his feet too dangerous.'
Aaron Ramsey also attained the highest rating of 7.5 out of 10, described as 'in a state of extraordinary form, and inspirational this evening.'
The Evening Standard by contrast scored Mesut Ozil a 9 out of 10 for his sensational display.
Olivier Giroud, who was praised highly by Ian Wright in the SkySports studio was scored just a 7 by the Italians, who praised him for 'battling for every ball.'
Their full player ratings can be seen below:
Szczesny 6, Sagna 7, Mertesacker 6, Gibbs 6, Koscielny 6, Rosicky 6.5, Ramsey 7.5, Arteta 6.5, Flamini 6, Ozil 7.5, Giroud 7.
It might make you ask - just how good does Mesut Ozil need to be to score a 10?
