Gnabry, Lukaku and...? Five Premier League heroes this weekend

Romelu Lukaku

Features Arsenal, Everton, West Bromwich Albion, Cardiff and Norwich

Morgan Amalfitano

He was instrumental at Old Trafford as West Brom heaped misery on David Moyes with a surprise victory against Manchester United. He scored a wonderful solo effort – which included nutmegging Rio Ferdinand before a composed finished past David De Gea. He then laid the ball off for Saido Berahino fire home the winner.

Serge Gnabry

There is a case for Aaron Ramsey to be included in this again, but Serge Gnabry showed a remarkable degree of composure to put Arsenal ahead at the Liberty Stadium and put Arsenal on the road to victory in a testing encounter.

Romelu Lukaku

He may have benefited from some awful Newcastle defending in the first half, but Lukaku was very impressive on his Goodison debut, by scoring twice and forming a very useful looking combination with Ross Barkley.

Jordon Mutch

Jordan Mutch scored one of the best goals this weekend, late on at Craven Cottage to give Cardiff their first away win in the Premier League. Plenty of people think their home form is the key to them staying in the Premier League, so how big is this away victory?

Jonny Howson

Howson’s strike proved to be the difference as Norwich picked up their first away win of the season. It delivered a much needed win to what has been a stuttering start to their season.
