Arsenal fan's simple message for Robin van Persie on Twitter

Van Persie United

An Arsenal fan has rubbed salt into Robin van Persie’s wounds over Twitter.

Arsenal’s title credentials will be fully tested in the build up to winter, through the January transfer window and then over the second half of the season.

However, if you’re an Arsenal fan right now, you have every reason to be optimistic.

The Gunners sit top of the Premier League by two points, with points on the board in the Champions League, a gifted manager who is going nowhere and cash in the bank ready to spend.

Arsenal are only going to get stronger over the coming weeks as their injury list gets smaller and key first team players return to action, making the squad stronger and more competitive.

One player who may be looking back at Arsenal this season with a little bit of regret somewhere in the back of his mind is Robin van Persie, who left the club to go and win medals at Manchester United.

He’s done just that but finds himself in an uncertain situation, at a United unsure over their best team and their aims for the season under David Moyes.

It was a decision that not many Gunners will ever forgive him for, which is why Arsenal’s current strength is all the more enjoyable for fans with a North London allegiance.

Reflection is a beautiful thing but in this fan’s eyes, van Persie’s future would currently be brighter had he stayed in North London.
