England cricketer trolls Sunderland fans on Twitter - then backtracks

Graham Onions will parade the County Championship trophy with his Durham teammates before Sunderland's match against Liverpool later today.

The right arm fast-medium bowler, a lifelong Newcastle United fan, revealed on Twitter that that he would be wearing a black and white tie for the occasion.

He referred to Sunderland as 5under1and, a term coined by Newcastle United fans to remember their 5-1 victory over their North East rivals in the Tyne-Wear derby of 2010.

After a torrent of abuse from Mackems, Onions defended his statement by saying he is "excited and proud" to have been invited to parade the trophy by Sunderland.

Last week, former Newcastle midfielder Joey Barton mocked 5under1and after the sacking of Paulo Di Canio.

Whose season can Paolo Di Canio save next?
