Suarez, Ramsey and... 10 players to watch in the Premier League this weekend

Features players from Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Swansea, West Ham, Everton, Newcastle, Tottenham, Chelsea, Fulham.

Robin Van Persie

Manchester United’s top scorer from last season has missed the last couple of games with a groin injury but could return against West Bromwich Albion. Of course, many people watch the Dutchman to see if he can get amongst the goals, but here we should see if that groin is still troubling him, other whether manager David Moyes was protecting his main striker.

Luis Suarez

The Uruguayan made his return for Liverpool in the 1-0 League Cup loss against Manchester United at Old Trafford. Now with 90 minutes under his belt, can he help Liverpool to three points against bottom of the table Sunderland, and get the team back to winning ways?

Out of four appearances, Michu has netted three times against this weekend’s opponents, Arsenal. Can the Spaniard fire again and bring more joy to Swansea and their supporters?

Aaron Ramsey

He is undoubtedly in the form of his life, and being a former Cardiff player, he might be a bit more fired up to get one over on Swansea. Combining those two together, does that make Ramsey more dangerous than ever?

He has scored on each of his last two outings for Spurs and Saturday’s game against Chelsea is anticipated to be a closely contest one, meaning his contribution in the middle of the park is going to be vital. Will he be an outstanding performer again?

Stewart Downing

West Ham fans haven’t seen much of Downing, but he could return for this weekend’s clash against Hull City at the KC Stadium along with teammate Joe Cole. Can he help the Hammers to their first league win since the opening day of the season?

Romelu Lukaku

His home debut in an Everton shirt against Newcastle and he already has one goal to his name. Would anyone bet against him building on that on Monday night?

Dimitar Berbatov

He returned to the Fulham side and scored in their 2-1 League Cup win against Everton, but they could really do with Berbatov being at his best against Cardiff City, a game which Fulham fans will feel they should win. But which Berbatov will turn up?

Juan Mata

There have been a couple of injuries picked up by Chelsea this week in the middle of the park, so will Mourinho alter his system slightly to bring Mata into the side? He’s a player that certainly could make a difference.

Papiss Cisse

He finally broke his scoring duck in the League cup this week against Leeds United, can he build on that on Monday night against Everton?
