The Barcelona defender tuned in to watch Real edge past Elche, courtesy of a 96th-minute penalty from Cristiano Ronaldo.
Referee Cesar Muniz awarded the spot-kick when Pepe tangled with Carlos Sanchez in the area. Replays showed that it was the Real defender who pulled his opponent to the ground.
Pique, who has 6.9 million followers on Twitter wrote: "Watching a great comedy on Canal+ Liga. Always nice at this time of night."

Real's Alvaro Arbeloa, who has 2.4 million followers responded: "Happy with the 3 points! I’m delighted some people have changed the theatre for the cinema."
Muy contentos con los 3 puntos! Me alegro de que algunos cambien el teatro por el cine, eso siempre esta bien! pic.twitter.com/a1HR3pri8G— Álvaro Arbeloa (@aarbeloa17) September 25, 2013
Arbeloa's jibe refers to a comment made by Jose Mourinho during his first spell in charge at Chelsea. Back in 2006, Mourinho accused Barcelona’s Lionel Messi of play acting to get defender Asier Del Horno sent off during Chelsea's Champions League clash with the Catalan giants.
Barcelona and Real Madrid are scheduled to meet in the first El Clasico on October 27 at Camp Nou.
What are your thoughts on Pique and Arbeloa's tweets? Who won the Twitter battle for you?
