Confirmed team line-ups: Newcastle United vs. Leeds United - Pardew names strong team

Alan Pardew has named a strong side for tonight's Capital One Cup game.

Five senior players - Tim Krul, Mathieu Debuchy, Fabricio Coloccini, Vurnon Anita and Papiss Cisse have been retained from Saturday's 3-2 defeat against Hull City.

Cheick Tiote, Yoan Gouffran and Sylvain Marveaux are also lining up against Leeds United. Mike Williamson makes his first appearance of the season at centre-back.

The Newcastle line-up (4-2-3-1) is: Krul - Debuchy, Williamson, Coloccini (c), Dummett - Anita, Tiote - Marveaux, Gouffran, Sammy Ameobi - Cisse.

The bench is: Alnwick, Yanga-Mbiwa, Gosling, Bigirimana, Obertan, Vuckic, Ben Arfa.

Leeds United's confirmed starting line-up is as follows: Kenny, Byram, Wootton, Pearce, Warnock, Austin, Mowatt, Tonge, McCormack, Poleon, Smith.

The Leeds bench is: Cairns, Murphy, Green, Hunt, White, Brown, Diouf.
