Tottenham Hotspur morning news: Spurs move for French youngster, AVB slams scheduling

A round up of this morning’s news linked to Tottenham Hotspur.

Online sources have claimed Tottenham have moved to start negotiations for PSG youngster Adrien Rabiot.

Tottenham have been scouting the youngster but TMW have claimed the North London side have started proceedings to try and sign him.

Rabiot has a reputation for being one of the most exciting and promising youngsters in France.

Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas has slammed fixture scheduling, suggesting it means Spurs can’t take the League Cup seriously.

Tottenham take on Aston Villa in the League Cup this evening, just two days after a late win against Cardiff City in the Premier League.

“We have an impossible game to play. The ideal situation would have been to play Wednesday - It is impossible for our players that were involved on Sunday to play that game,” AVB told the Mirror.

Another player Spurs are reportedly interested in is M’Baye Niang of AC Milan.

The 18-year-old joined the Serie A side after rejecting moves to Arsenal and Chelsea and he could fill a void in Tottenham’s current attack.

Spurs are thought to be closely monitoring the teenager’s situation in Italy, with a potential offer being lined up for January.
