Barcelona fans are reportedly planning to form a human chain from the Nou Camp to Victor Valdes’ house to stop the goalkeeper leaving the club.
Several rumours going around on Twitter have suggested that Barcelona fans are going to take matters into their own hands as they look to convince Barca’s number one to sign a new contract at the end of the season.
According to the Tweets, it means thousands of fans will get involved in the campaign to talk Valdes out of his decision to quit the club as he wants to play football elsewhere before he retires, forming a ten mile human chain.
If the club's supporters manage to pull off the ambitious feat, then the shot stopper who has spent his entire career at Barcelona will surely be emotionally affected by the act and sight.
If the fans are successful with their tribute towards the 31-year-old, it’s potentially very bad news for the Premier League clubs that have been strongly linked with moving for the Spaniard.
Arsenal and Manchester City have both been mentioned as possible destinations, with the Gunners natural favourites due to the presence of England number one Joe Hart at the Etihad Stadium.
Monaco have also been suggested as a possible destination for Valdes, with the wealthy French side in the fortunate position of being able to offer Valdes a highly lucrative deal, which could be worth far more than competitor offers.
What do you think? Will it work?
