After yesterday’s Manchester derby, the betting picture surrounding David Moyes has taken an interesting look, with BoyleSports offering 5/1 on the Manchester United boss not being in charge come the last day of the season.
Although Moyes is 1/16 to still be in charge on New Years’ Day 2014, the market for the start of next season looks to be a pretty tight one. Boylesports have priced him at Evens to still be Manchester United manager, with odds of 4/5 for him having left the club.
This week’s League Cup clash with Liverpool is a game that Moyes really doesn’t want to lose - along with the League Cup being an opportunity for Manchester United to win a major trophy, which may silence the crytics. You can currently get odds of 11/8 that Moyes will lead Manchester United to lift a trophy this season.
United are on the drift as third favourites for the Premier League title, following their 4-1 defeat to Manchester City, who now head the betting.
Leon Blanche, Head of Communications at Boylesports said: 'Manchester United have had a poor start to the season and have already lost vital matches to Liverpool and neighbours, Manchester City.
'They are now 9/2 to retain the Premier League whilst Boylesports is offering 11/8 that David Moyes wins a trophy with them this season'.
