Earl Bennett, Doug Baldwin, feature in Five of the best plays from NFL week 3

Week 3 of the NFL is nearly at an end and there have been so many spectacular and crazy plays, here is the pick of the bunch for you to enjoy.

Browns fake field goal for a TD

When a fake field or punt works out it is often the biggest play of the week but what the Cleveland Browns did was even more special, they scored a touchdown from a fake field goal. It wasn’t great awareness from the Vikings but nonetheless it was excellent innovation from Cleveland and it was a play that won them the game.

Antonio Brown one handed catch vs Bears

With his side trailing in the game and needing a big play Antonio Brown came up with an amazing one handed catch. QB Ben Roethlisberger put the ball in the right place and Brown managed to control the ball and get his feet in the endzone to cap a great touchdown catch for the Steelers.

Earl Bennett TD catch v Steelers

Not to be out done by their opponents the Chicago Bears put together their own spectacular TD catch. Earl Bennett found some space in the endzone and QB Jay Cutler found him with an accurate throw. Initially it was ruled incomplete but replays showed he dragged both feet in bounds, a successful challenge gave Bennett one of the plays of the week.

Doug Baldwin one handed catch v Jaguars

This game wasn’t much of a contest but it produced a great play, predictably it was for the Seattle Seahawks. Tavaris Jackson showed off his arm strength to pick out Dough Baldwin down the sideline, the receiver managed to fight of his defender and reel the catch in one handed, he landed in the endzone to pile the pain on for the hapless Jaguars.

Chargers crazy lateral play

We all love a crazy play in the NFL and none are crazier than a last minute desperation play that was run by the San Diego Chargers. They were down 3 points with less than 10 seconds on the clock and outside of field goal range so inevitably madness ensued and it resembled more of a rugby match towards the end. It was unsuccessful but fun for the neutral, I’m sure Chargers fans won’t be too pleased with that.
