The team-sheets may have been handed in some time ago, but Arsenal fans can forget about those following the breaking news that Theo Walcott has withdrawn through illness, paving the way for Serge Gnabry to start.
It has now in fact been confirmed that although Walcott was ill yesterday, it is in fact an abdominal injury that has forced him to pull out this afternoon ... at the moment the details are, understandably, sketchy.
The 18-year-old midfielder will make his first Premier League start in this afternoon’s early kick-off against Stoke City.
The midfielder-cum-winger has represented Germany at every level from under-16 to under-19, and it now appears he could be set for even bigger and better things as Arsene Wenger hands him a starting birth.
Having starred for the Gunners NextGen team last season, those days may now be behind him…
