Adil Rami is a Frenchman known as 'The Rock', but he proved to be a foundation made out of anything but in a nightmare Europa League display last night.
Rami had been linked early in the summer with Arsenal, who elected to sign no defenders instead rather than snap him up for a cut-price deal.
Anybody who watched his blink and you'll miss it display for Valencia against Swansea last night will be considering that Arsenal did the best thing.
Rami was sent off after just 10 minutes for hauling down Wilfried Bony as the last man when he had been left for dead.
Manchester City were linked with snapping him up prior to deadline day, choosing to go for Martin Demichelis instead.
The Argentine was quickly ruled out for six weeks with injury, and a deal for Rami might just have been one they and the Valencia man wish would have happened instead, although if City had scouts at last night's game... they probably will have retracted that view.
