Last season 1-2
Odds: Norwich 7/5, Draw 12/5, Aston Villa 36/17
Norwich City will be glad to be back at home after their first two encounters on the road this season have brought about defeats. However, at home they have managed to pick up four points from two games having drawn against Everton and beaten Southampton. After a promising start to the season for Villa, where they won away at Arsenal, Paul Lambert returns to Carrow Road with a side that has lost three league games on the bounce.
Both sides are near full strength with both Elliot and Ryan Bennett missing for Norwich, whilst Villa have Charles N’Zogbia sidelined whilst Jores Okore continues his recovery from injury meaning he won’t feature this season.
Here is a look at five players who could have a huge say on the outcome of this match.
He is a man that is feared by any back line because he has the quality to be the deciding factor. He is Villa’s main man so if he is firing on all cylinders and starts to bully the Norwich defence, there is a good chance Villa could be returning home with all three points.
A lot of eyebrows have been raised about this young man’s talent but he does look as if he can produce something out of nothing. It’ll be interesting to see how Villa handle him in the wide areas as he has a lot of pace and decent end product.
He was the difference between the two sides last season so what are the odds that lightning can strike twice and Agbonlahor becomes the hero again?
Fer has got a fairly good reputation which prompted the likes of Everton to express interest in him in the past. With this game on live on TV, the wider public will get a look at what all the fuss has been about and learn more about him. If he gets on the ball enough he could be the man dictating a lot of the play.
He found the back of the net in his only other game at Carrow Road, all be it against League 2 opposition, but is there a chance that he can start firing in the Premier League against Villa? We shall find out!
