Ex-Tottenham midfielder to feature in Euro game that could get ugly

The Champions League’s match between FC Schalke and Steaua Bucureşti this evening could get ugly, and the catalyst could be former Tottenham midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng.

Before joining FC Schalke on a £12.5m transfer last month from AC Milan, Boateng was known for his somewhat bad boy image, picking up 52 yellow cars and 6 reds since his full professional debut with Hertha Berlin in 2005.

Born and raised in Berlin Germany’s low-income neighbourhood of Wedding, the so called ghetto kid once famously bought a Lamborghini, a Cadillac and a Hummer in one week while playing for Tottenham.

Prince Boateng made 14 appearances for Tottenham between 2007-09.

He also managed to upset the whole German footballing nation in 2010 when, during the FA-Cup final playing for Portsmouth again Chelsea, he fouled then German international captain Michael Ballack and put him out of 2010 World Cup.

And it could all kick off in the Champions League this evening as former Steaua Bucureşti attacking midfielder Marcel Răducanu has suggested that Bucureşti players should target Prince Boateng, and rile him so that he does something stupid and gets sent off.

'Steaua's players need to attack Boateng', Răducanu has said, 'It's easy to lose your head when you are under pressure'.
