Manchester City latest: Polish teenager linked and starlet ends loan move early

All the latest news, views and transfer rumours from the Etihad…

The transfer window may be well and truly closed, but that has not stopped Manchester City being linked with two Italian-based players in recent hours.

Football Italia is reporting claims from Talk Sport that City are interested in Udinese midfielder Piotr Zielinski, and could make a move for the 19-year-old as soon as January.

The Polish teenager has already scored two goals in three World Cup qualifiers, but where he would fit into the current City set-up remains to be seen.

Should he sign, a short-term loan move seems the most likely outcome…unless he really is that good.

The agent of Lazio’s Felipe Anderson has also revealed the Blues were in for his client prior to his move to Italy.

Speaking to Radio Mana Sport, Stefano Castagna revealed that City, Tottenham and Atletico Madrid had all attempted to sign Anderson prior to his June move.

And finally, the Manchester Evening News reports that Albert Rusnak has ended his loan spell with Oldham Athletic after being asked to play in their reserve team.

The report continues that the player was told to return to the League One side to apologise, but having done so it was decided he should return to the Etihad.
