Vincent Kompany made an early return to action for Manchester City on Tuesday night, ahead of his scheduled return date of October.
The centre-back was named in City's starting line-up in the Czech Republic in their 3-0 win away to Viktoria Plzen.
The Belgian played 90 minutes alongside Matija Nastasic, naturally keeping a clean sheet and letting the side's attackers do the damage.
And here's an impressive stat - Kompany completed 100 per cent of his passes, 51 of 51.
He made four interceptions and three clearances, leading the backline and winning five offsides.
It appeared as though he had not missed a beat, and now his mind is already turning to the weekend's Manchester Derby at the Etihad on Sunday.
Happy with a good win! Our fans were class tonight! Now bring on the derby!! #MCFC— Vincent Kompany (@VincentKompany) September 17, 2013
Is Kompany the game-changer for Sunday's match?
