Liverpool fans react on Twitter to Victor Moses debut for the club

Liverpool saw Victor Moses make his debut for the club last night following his loan arrival from Chelsea.

Liverpool played their way to a point away at Swansea on Monday night, in a game where the headlines were dominated by Jonjo Shelvey.

Shelvey scored early against his former club, before gifting them two goals through mistakes, and providing an assist for the Swans second half equaliser.

It overshadowed a solid debut for Liverpool's newest attacking player, Victor Moses, signed on loan from Chelsea.

Moses grabbed the game's third goal, giving Liverpool a 2-1 lead before the break, marking a memorable debut for the winger, going onto complete the 81 minutes.

The goal came from Moses' only shot, one of just 33 touches of the ball he had. Only Daniel Sturridge (31) got less touches than the debutant in Liverpool's starting line-up.

Moses also recorded the lowest pass completion ratio of any Liverpool midfielder or forward (75 per cent) - but crucially he did provide more key passes leading to goalscoring opportunities than any other player (three) with the exception of Steven Gerrard who made the same amount.

Moses did not make a single pass in the defensive third of the pitch, completing 11 of 12 passes in the middle of the park, but more wasteful in the final third completing four of eight. Encouraging news was that both of Moses two crosses found a teammate.

The winger was the league's best dribbler statistically in his final season at Wigan, and his three successful dribbles were the highest of any Liverpool man.

Moses added to his overall performance by making two successful tackles and one interception as he sought to make a mark on his debut and contribute to the team.

Overall it was pretty promising, with the goal the crucial statistic to take away, but what did Liverpool fans think of his display? Here are a selection of varied comments from Twitter...
