Chelsea morning news: Mourinho to banish worst memory, Cole abused by American woman

A round up of the key news stories about Chelsea this morning.

Jose Mourinho is ready to banish the memory of one of his worst results as Chelsea boss.

Mourinho takes the Blues into a Champions League tie against FC Basel this week, the same competition Chelsea drew 1-1 against Rosenborg in the final match of his previous reign.

The fallout following that draw in 2008 is attributed as one of the main reasons the Portuguese coach first left the club.

A video has emerged from YouTube which shows Chelsea defender Ashley Cole taking horrendous verbal abuse from a woman on Chelsea’s pre-season tour of the USA.

The argument is thought to have broken out over a tip. Chelsea played Manchester City in St Louis and New York during the tour and the video was reportedly recorded outside a bar in St Louis.

Victor Moses scored on his Liverpool debut as they drew 2-2 away at Swansea City.

The on loan Chelsea star has said he’s using the loan spell to reignite his career before he returns to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

Jose Mourinho will be pleased with the impact and impression Moses has so far had in Merseyside, looking for the player to make a point before the loan deal expires.
