Aaron Rodgers and Calvin Johnson shine in week 2

Aaron Rodgers

The second Sunday of the NFL season is over and we have seen another set of great offensive and defensive performances. There were a number of players that stood out and we have got a selection of highlights to show you.

Aaron Rodgers - 34/42, 480 Yards, 4 TDS

Not to be outdone by Peyton Manning last week Aaron Rodgers put on a show against the helpless Washington defence. There was talk of him passing the single game passing yards record after a blistering first half but with such a big lead the Packers took their foot off the pedal. Fantasy owners (myself included) will have been very happy with this display.

Calvin Johnson - 6 reception, 116 yards, 2 TD

Megatron pulled off yet another impressive performance, though his efforts were not enough to stop his side, the Detroit Lions, from losing to the Arizona Cardinals. His connection with QB Matthew Stafford is a special one and defensive backs do not look forward to covering Johnson, he is a force to be reckoned with as he showed this week.

Big Play of the Week - Trindon Holliday 81-yard punt return for a TD

Know for his speed the Broncos wide receiver piled on the misery for the Giants as he returned a Steve Weatherford punt for a touchdown. He looked to have no route to the endzone but his speed took him away from several defenders and sealed Denver's big road win.

We thought we'd end on something funny from week 2. Sky Sports broadcast this during the Denver-New York game and it got a great reception on social media, take a look at the ad below. I think everyone would love to see something similar in the Premier League. Wayne Rooney, Joe Hart, Frank Lampard are you listening?

Let us know your thoughts on NFL's week 2?
