CONFIRMED: Chelsea line-up - Eto'o and Mata start

Here is the Chelsea line-up for the late kick-off at Goodison Park.

Starting XI: Cech, Ivanovic, Terry, Luiz, Cole, Mikel, Ramires, Schurrle, Hazard, Mata, Eto’o

Subs: Schwarzer, Essien, Lampard, Cahill, Oscar, De Bruyne, Torres

In what is arguably the game of the day, Everton face Chelsea this evening with both sides ready to hand debuts to new signings.

Everton were among the most impressive operators on the final day of the transfer window, with James McCarthy, Gareth Barry and Romelu Lukaku all arriving, along with a sizeable cheque from Manchester United for Marouane Fellaini.

Lukaku is ineligible for this evening’s match against his parent-club, but the Toffees’ new midfielders should both feature.

Samuel Eto’o has overcome the injury he suffered on international duty in what could be his last match for Cameroon, and with no fresh injury concerns Jose Mourinho has some big decisions to make given the players at his disposal.

Last season, Chelsea were the only side to beat Everton at Goodison Park in the league, doing the double over them after winning just one of their previous eight meetings.

It is sure to be a close match, with Roberto Martinez keen to show he can improve on former manager David Moyes’ record against Mourinho.

What is your prediction for the game?
