Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City fans hijack #AskCarrick Twitter Q &A

Manchester United held a Twitter question and answer session with Michael Carrick, but as usual it did not go entirely according to plan.

Each time a footballer opens themselves up to a Q & A on Twitter, they have to be prepared for a bit of stick.

Although Michael Carrick may feel he got off likely today in comparison to Stewart Downing's hecklers.

While the chat, hosted by Manchester United's official website saw Carrick discuss tactics, his range of passing, and his hopes for the campaign, the midfielder acknowledged the hecklers on his own account, writing:

"Thanks for all your questions during the Q&A with @ManUtd there was some good ones and some bad I might add."

Fans of rivals clubs Liverpool and Manchester City did not miss the opportunity to give him a bit of stick, and nor did Arsenal supporters who still see him as an ex-Tottenham players.
