Tottenham Hotspur morning news: Walker attacked on Twitter, Lloris admits mistakes

A round up of this morning’s key news stories about Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs defender Kyle Walker is on the receiving end of plenty of criticism following his performance for England in Ukraine.

England held out for an important 0-0 draw and the right back has been attacked on social network site Twitter for his defensive performance.

However, Walker was not alone as Manchester United’s Ashley Young also took plenty of stick on the site.

Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris also had a tough night at the office, admitting Franck Ribery compensated for his mistakes.

Ribery has been one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League this season but made two errors in France’s match against Belarus which both cost goals.

“It was a tough night and I am primarily responsible. It is one of the hazards of the game but the team has risen to the top. Franck put us back on track and he made the difference,” said the ‘keeper.

Tottenham Hotspur forward Roberto Soldado bagged a goal in Spain’s 1-1 draw against Chile.

The goal helped him maintain his positive start to the season with Tottenham as Spurs look to fill the void created by Gareth Bale’s world record move to Real Madrid.

“It was a tough match today against a great national team! Content with the goal and by the reaction of our side. A night in Geneva and then back to London tomorrow! Greetings and good night,” Soldado posted on Instagram.
