The fallout from Mesut Ozil's transfer to Arsenal from Real Madrid continues, and it gets uglier.
SportBild report registered FIFA agent Francois Gallardo as saying: "Since January Ozil's father has three times held talks with Real and always called for the doubling of the salary of Mesut Ozil. Real has said no three times.
"For the player Mesut Ozil Manchester United's offer was better, but maybe not for the father. The father might not have earned as much on the transfer (as he did) during the transfer to Arsenal."
Bild described the nature of Gallardo's comments as 'evil.'
Ozil's father Mustafa was asked about these claims, responding: "The desire for an early contract extension did indeed not come from us but from Real Madrid. We had not asked for an increase of salary, but wanted to extend at Real at the beginning of 2013, the already existing contract until 2016, and there were various calls. Otherwise, we do not talk about contract talks, which were not disclosed."
But Gallardo's explicit comments regarding Mustafa Ozil have struck a nerve, and while not targeting his follow-up response towards Gallardo directly, he explained he was considering taking action over various aspects of the transfer.
Bild report him describing the Manchester United claims as 'complete nonsense.', adding:
"We do need to realize that there were many scary agents who have tried without any legitimacy, get in the business.Apparently, even with forged signatures. We have much to do right now to help Mesut during acclimatization in London.
"But we consider parallel legal action against so-called consultants who have offered Mesut authorization. Who probably hoped for a quick commission. As some have called under dubious circumstances to clubs and said they were instructed. From me they were there, anyway."
