Arsenal latest: Ozil arrives, Honda could, four key injury concerns

All the key Arsenal related news and gossip.

Arsenal have been linked with a January transfer move for Japanese star Keiszuke Honda. The playmaker is available on a free transfer from CSKA Moscow in January and clubs can negotiate with him now. He had appeared set for AC Milan but talks have since broken down. The Star claims Arsenal are one of three Premier League clubs interested along with Tottenham and Everton.

Mesut Ozil has arrived at Arsenal for the first time, with the international break now over. The Mirror have photos of Ozil wearing a Run DMC hoodie posing outside the Gunners' London Colney training ground earlier today before meeting up with his new teammates.

Ozil will go straight into contention for Arsenal's fixture with Sunderland, but the club have several key injury worries.

Roy Hodgson has confirmed that midfielder Jack Wilshere is not fully fit, which led to a below-par display and early substitution for England yesterday against Ukraine. That coupled with the long flight back could see the midfielder benched at the weekend.

ITV report that Arsene Wenger is also sweating on the fitness of Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott and Tomas Rosicky who all picked up knocks in internationals.

Ramsey is expected to be fit, Walcott is regarded as 50/50 after hobbling off for England, and Rosicky is expected to be ruled out with his thigh injury.

Young striker Yaya Sanogo could also struggle to make the bench after missing France's under-21 game with a back strain, giving Nicklas Bendtner a possible return to the bench against his former club.

There is no development regarding any possible Arsenal interest in free agent striker Ciprian Marica, which has been drummed up by his agent over the past week.
