Mesut Ozil tweets he can't wait for Arsenal

Having helped Germany to securing World Cup qualification, Arsenal are next on Mesut Ozil's to do list.

It's time. Mesut Ozil's arrival at Arsenal will wait no longer, he is heading to London.

Since signing last Monday, Ozil has had to wait to properly join up with his new teammates, after joining up directly with Germany's international squad for the World Cup qualifers.

He did his job superbly, helping Germany to two successive 3-0 wins over Austria and the Faroe Islands, securing their spot at next summer's tournament in Brazil.

Just moments after the game, he logged onto social networking site Twitter to say just how excited he is to finally be heading to Arsenal

It's a relief of course for Arsenal fans he evaded injury, and is at full fitness to help Arsenal pour further misery on Paolo di Canio's winless Sunderland side.

Ozil's enthusiasm is likely to rub off on his Arsenal teammates. Already he has lifted the mood of supporters since his signing was announced, and his feelgood factor could well catapult the Gunners to continuing their winning streak.

The international break certainly halted their momentum gained from the 1-0 win over Tottenham, but Ozil's enthusiasm should provide all the impetus and more to offset that and, hopefully for the club, take them onto new levels.

Do you expect Ozil to go straight into Arsenal's starting line-up?
