Arsenal have suffered more international misfortune.
Each time there is an international break, at least one Premier League side suffers an unfortunate blow, and many Arsenal fans would tell you it is quite often them.
Now, and not for the first time, midfielder Tomas Rosicky has suffered an injury playing for his country,
After scoring in a 2-1 defeat for them last week against Armenia, Rosicky was again picked to start away to group leaders Italy.
Protecting a 1-0 lead through Aston Villa's Libor Kozak, Rosicky pulled up injured in the 38th minute.
The injury is said to be a thigh strain, the severity of which is unclear, but it is enough for him to have to withdraw such a crucial game early.
Given Rosicky's fine form and his injury history, the news is not good news for Arsenal Football Club or their fans heading into another important Premier League weekend.
How crucial could this be for Arsenal?
