The Arsenal midfielder has been one of the best middle men in the Premier League so far this season and Arsene Wenger should be ecstatic that he’s continued his form and momentum in the international arena.
Ramsey earned and converted the spot kick, which drew Wales level in their World Cup qualifier against Macedonia before a late goal saw a point slip from within their grasp as they continue to struggle in Group A.
Ramsey showed good composure with the effort as he stepped up and comfortably slotted home under immense pressure that may have forced weaker players into hoofing the ball over the ball or giving the goalkeeper an easy save.
It’s that maturity and urgency to show responsibility under pressure which has come on leaps and bounds this season and there’s every reason to believe he can maintain it over the course of a long campaign.
Wales now move on to a home match against Serbia this Tuesday in Cardiff, looking for a win which will put them on nine points ahead of the Serbians drawing some respectability from an otherwise disappointing campaign.
What do you make of Ramsey’s performances for Arsenal and Wales this season?
