Hull City deadline review - Satisfactory but unspectacular

There were only one or two pieces of business to come out from the KC Stadium

Hull City made just the one signing on deadline day after they re-signed Egyptian striker Gedo on loan from Al Ahly.

It will be the second spell he has with the club having scored five goals in 12 appearances last season during their promotion push.

The other pieces of business that took place were to send 20-year-old Conor Townsend on loan to Carlisle United for 28 days, whilst 22-year-old winger Cameron Stewart has joined Charlton Athletic on loan until January.

Hull City fans may feel comfortable that not a lot took place on deadline day as a substantial amount of business was done way before the deadline including bringing in the likes of Tom Huddlestone and Jake Livermore from Tottenham. They also managed to acquire two experienced goalkeepers in Allan McGregor and Steve Harper, along with striker Danny Graham who has Premier League experience at Swansea and Sunderland.

One area which might have been a concern judging by the start to the league season is the lack of goals so far, and whether that burden might have rested too much with Graham. Bruce looks to have brought in another option to lessen the burden a little in Gedo.

Overall though, they have strengthened in a lot of areas and will try and make do with the players they’ve got, it wouldn’t surprise me if they had a fairly busy January window if they’re hovering around the mid to lower table mark to fight off any threat of relegation.

Hull fans what did you make of deadline day?
