Arsenal have clinched the sensational deadline day transfer of Mesut Ozil, and the impact the 24-year-old can have on the club is being predicted to be an outstanding one.
Former Arsenal, Manchester City and Sunderland striker Niall Quinn told SkySports News:
"I would compare him (Ozil) to Dennis Bergkamp.
"He has the ability to develop the club and take them to a new level, he is at the peak of his career.
"Fairplay to Arsenal, now they have gone, they have gone big.
"Who has done the best piece of business this transfer window, there's a big case for Arsene Wenger.
"It's a step in the right direction, Ozil will help attract other players of his calibre."
Some pressure. Bergkamp arrived in 1995, and led Arsenal to two doubles, and had a key role in 2003/04 Invincibles side.
If Ozil can have half that success, Arsenal fans will be very happy indeed.
