After yesterday’s North London Derby I’m sure there are many Arsenal fans very happy with beating their rivals despite spending £100m less than Spurs.
Another set of fans that will be feeling on top of the world will be Liverpool supporters as they grabbed a victory against their hated opponents Manchester United.
But which set of fans will be happier with their team this morning?
You can make the case for Arsenal fans because once again they defeated Tottenham, as a majority of the pundits picked the visitors to get one over on their old rivals.
But I think it’s safe to say Liverpool’s fans will be a happier bunch today, top of the Premier League, 3 wins from 3 and their transfer business looks to have been completed without a last day panic.
It’s their best start to a league campaign in 19 years and the form of Daniel Sturridge and the stingy defense makes for a very happy fan, no doubt about that.
There aren’t many fans that are saying Liverpool will win the league, no one is suggesting they would, but they will be ecstatic with the progress shown so far this season. An improvement on their 7th place finish last season, both teams could improve their positions if things go to plan today.
Although the Arsenal fans will be happy, - who wouldn’t be after a Derby win - They will still have one eye on the transfer market. The happiness will not last long if the club can’t build on the victory by strengthening on deadline day.
Both sets of fans have reasons to be very cheerful and they can look forward to a good campaign from both teams, depending on what Arsenal do in the next few hours it could be a very good for the red half of North London.
Who has more reason to be happy ?
