It might be the last day of the transfer window, but will the early bird catch the worm as Arsene Wenger looks to go big in the market.
As Arsenal fans lift their heads from the pillows this morning, many do so not quite knowing what the day has in store for them.
Some will be convinced the so called 'war chest' will remain firmly shackled whilst others will believe in their general, Arsene Wenger to do some last minute deals.
Those that are of the opinion that Wenger will silence his critics and buy, will be buoyed by early reports that he may have lined up three players totalling a staggering £80m.
It is reported that the Gunners have targeted a triple signing of Mesut Ozil and Angel Di Maria both from Real Madrid, who yesterday broke the bank to land world record signing Gareth Bale, whilst also eyeing up a bid for Palermo striker Abel Hernandez.
It is thought that club are in advanced negotiations with Ozil, who may now be surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu despite some sterling performances last season.
The fate of the others may still be nothing more than rumours but at least Arsenal fans have something to talk about and after all that's better than watching others surge ahead.
Will signings save Arsene or is he right, you only buy better than you have? You decide.
