David Moyes arrived at Anfield on Sunday looking for his first ever win at the ground as a Premier League manager.
This time he did not have Everton with him, but champions Manchester United at his disposal.
His luck did not improve. United were defeated 1-0 thanks to an early Daniel Sturridge header, much to the delight of bitter opponents Liverpool.
Do Liverpool suddenly feel an air of superiority over their rivals? Whether it be reactionary or temporary, fans of Liverpool are certainly enjoying the gloating, also delighted that David Moyes' record at the stadium remains a poor one.
While Liverpool fans may have been amused to see any knee-jerk United fans demanding Moyes' head - with a poor summer transfer market in mind couple with the defeat and continued shunning of Shinji Kagawa - it appears they feel keeping him in post for as long as possible is their best option.
Opposition fans sick of United's continued success under Sir Alex Ferguson will only be able to hope that under David Moyes it comes to an abrupt end.
This was represented by the Twitter trend created post-match, which read simply: #MoyesIn - turning on it's head the traditional calls for a manager to go.
