A round up of the latest transfer stories and rumours about Chelsea.

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has said he turned down the opportunity to move to Chelsea despite a personal call from Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese coach called his former player to try and talk him into the move but the Spaniard reiterated his commitment to Real Madrid.

There is a slim chance that Mourinho could try and do a deal today but reports suggest Ramos is unconvinced by Mourinho’s pleas to try and lure him to Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal will try and complete a loan deal for Chelsea forward Demba Ba today.

The striker has not been first choice under Jose Mourinho and could jump at the move after the recent arrival of former Barcelona and Inter Milan striker Samuel Eto’o.

Wenger is thought to be keen on having an alternative centre forward option to Olivier Giroud with the Gunners pinning the majority of their hopes currently on the Frenchman.

The Blues have done a deal for FC Porto’s Christian Atsu with the winger signing a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge.

Jose Mourinho took the decision to instantly loan the 21-year-old to Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem, who Chelsea enjoy a unique partnership with.

He made 17 appearances for the Portuguese side last season, attracting the interest of Chelsea’s Premier League competitors Liverpool, who were never able to agree a deal.
