Aston Villa agree deal for €9 million striker - report

Aston Villa

Have Aston Villa pulled another rabbit out of the hat?

Last year on transfer deadline day Paul Lambert was a busy man.

He attempted to sign Clint Dempsey, only for the American to rebuff the club's approach - and sealed a deal for Christian Benteke instead.

Fans will certainly be happy with how the day panned out, with Benteke becoming one of the Premier League's top strikers.

Could they be pulling another rabbit out of the hat on deadline day?

It is claimed that Villa have agreed a deal for Lazio striker Libor Kozak.

Lazio website Lalaziosiamonoi.it claims a deal has been struck worth €9 million in total, €7.5 up front and €1.5 million in bonuses.

Kozak is a Czech international who had a mixed time at the club last season, scoring 10 goals in the Europa League last season, but did not net once in Serie A.

Kozak is 24 and has four caps for his country, but has not featured for his club so far this season.

Villa fans are you keen on Kozak?
