The Daily Mirror reports that Arsenal have been linked with a deadline day move for Real Madrid striker Mesut Ozil. The German international stated last week that he was staying in Spain, but it is thought that Real need to sell some players after the signing of Gareth Bale for a world record transfer fee.
The newspaper also reports that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is looking to bring in Schalke wonderkid Julian Draxler. The 19 year did have a release clause in his contract, but that expired in July. The German club are looking for a fee of around €60m. This deal seems more unlikely, although Wenger has said that he may have a few surprises on deadline day.
The Telegraph reports that Real Madrid's Angel Di Maria is still a target for the Gunners after weeks of speculation. He is reported to be part of an £80m spending spree that would also include Ozil and Palermo's Abel Hernandez. It is unlikely that all three will be brought in, but Arsene Wenger hopes that he can get at least two new faces into the club before the clock strikes eleven.
The newspaper also reports that Arsenal will also look to bolster their attacking line by making a move for Chelsea striker Demba Ba. The Senegalese forward has been told he can leave the club after the arrival of Samuel Eto'o. He only arrived at Stamford Bridge back in January for £7m, and Arsenal are looking into the possibility of signing him permanently or on a loan deal.
Meanwhile Olivier Giroud has stated that Arsenal need to bring in another striker before the window closes. He says that Luis Suarez would have been a great addition.
