Gareth Bale is a new player of Real Madrid. Los Blancos now features one of the best players in the world . He comes from Tottenham Hotspur , where he scored last season 26 goals in 44 matches. He was named best player of the Premier League , where he has impressed with his unstoppable evolution and his immense qualities . Power, speed and technique equally define this total player capable of breaking through the two bands and to score from almost any position , thanks to an excellent left foot and a powerful shot. At age 24 , he has joined the project of Carlo Ancelotti to complete an attack of legend.
"I have had six very happy years at Tottenham but it's the right time to say goodbye. We've had some special times together over the years and I've loved every minute of it...I know many players talk of their desire to join the club of their boyhood dreams, but I can honestly say, this is my dream come true.''
Arsenal have won the North London Derby. An early strike from Olivier Giroud proved the difference, and a 1-0 scoreline was preserved by both Hugo Lloris and Wojciech Szczesny in a close encounter - but Arsenal have the bragging rights in the neighbourhood for now.
One worrying note from the game was the injury to Etienne Capoue. The French international fell awkwardly under the full body weight of Santi Cazorla, which appeared to land on the lower shin of the French international - leaving endless possibilities to the type of damage that could have been done.
One thing for sure is that Capoue was in extreme agony. He was carried off with gas and air, whilst also being covered in a heat blanket, such was the severity of the injury.
Spurs fans will now have to wait with baited breath for news of the injury severity, with Andre Villas-Boas remarking:
"He (Capoue) is having an X ray now it doesn't look good."
Spurs have sold Massimo Luongo to Swindon Town permanently. The 20-year-old has spent time on loan at the club over the past six months and scored at the weekend. The Australian has cost the League One club £400k.
