Transfer talk: Featuring Bale, Draxler and Ki

Gareth Bale 3

Transfer news involving Tottenham, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Newcastle United, Sunderland, Swansea, Fulham and Chelsea.

Gareth Bale is expected to become a Real Madrid player imminently, no change there then.

The news today however suggests that Real will not break the transfer record for the Welshman - with their offer reaching a price of £78 million.

But do not expect anything official until after the North London derby on Sunday.

South Korean international Ki Sung-Yeung is set to join Sunderland on a season long loan. The talented midfielder was a regular in the Swansea City side last season, after being signed from Celtic.

However, additions this summer have seen him slip down the pecking order at the Liberty Stadium - so he has decided to get regular football at the Stadium of Light.

Fulham could reportedly flog Philippe Senderos to Parma in a swap deal involving Yohan Benalouane.

Manchester City are said to be on the verge of snapping up Martin Demichelis from Atletico Madrid. The Spanish club appear to have snapped up Ajax defender Toby Alderweireld and are ready to let the Argentine re-join Manuel Pellegrini at The Etihad. Demichelis only moved to Atletico on a free transfer earlier this summer.

The latest name being linked with a move to Arsenal is German wonderkid Julian Draxler. The Schalke 04 star, who signed a contract extension until 2018 at the end of the season, has previously intimated he has no desire to leave Gelsenkirchen until next season at the earliest.

But Arsenal are now said to be readying a potential £40 million bid for the talented German.

Interest in Yohan Cabaye has reportedly ended, after Arsenal told Newcastle United they will not pay over £12 million for the French international midfielder. But other reports suggest the deal could still be on the cards.

Tiago Ilori and Mamadou Sakho are both due for medicals at Anfield today, ahead of a move to Liverpool

According to the Telegraph, the Sporting Lisbon and PSG players are likely to cost a combined fee of £23million – with Ilori rated at £8million and Sakho at £15million.

One striker who could be on his way out of the club is Demba Ba. The Senegalese striker is not viewed as a first-team regular by Jose Mourinho.

Ba, whose recent struggles have seen him lose his place in the Senegal national squad, is reportedly being offered to former club Newcastle United on loan for the season.
