Five Chelsea players who could leave before the transfer deadline.
Chelsea this week sealed the signing of Samuel Eto'o, perhaps the final chip in Jose Mourinho's masterplan for the season ahead.
But will players be exiting the club before deadline? With a squad as large as Chelsea's it is very likely. Here are five potential candidates...
Eto'o's arrival could well mean a striker leaves the club and Demba Ba is the standout candidate. Left out of the squad for the trip to Old Trafford after a wretched display against Aston Villa, his days could be numbered. Newcastle are interested in re-signing him, while Roma and West Ham have also been linked.
Chelsea already have Mark Schwarzer and the re-signed Hilario as cover for Petr Cech, so expect to see fourth choice Jamal Blackman leave on loan. An England under-21 international and part of Chelsea's 2012 FA Youth Cup winning side, a loan switch is likely to be crucial to his development.
Another striker who faces a threat from Eto'o's arrival, sent a message with an excellent Super Cup strike against Bayern. This however has only served to put him in the shop window around Europe, and with the Mirror claiming the Blues are willing to listen to offers for him, a late move could well be on the cards.
Signed late last summer, Victor Moses faces being forced out of the first team picture after just one season following the additions of Willian, Kevin de Bruyne and Andre Schurrle to the squad. Liverpool and West Brom have both expressed an interest, with the latter most likely to be seen as acceptable to Chelsea.
Once Chelsea's brightest midfield prospect, McEachran's star has waned slightly. Middlesbrough declined to take him back on loan, and a proposed switch to Real Sociedad also failed to materialise. A loan move is essential for his development, so the 20-year-old will no doubt be pestering his agent to find him a late switch.
