Chelsea pre-match latest: Luiz fit again and Mourinho 'a master' says rival

All the latest from Prague as Chelsea gear up to face Bayern Munich in the UEFA Super Cup final.

Team news first ahead of the UEFA Super Cup game between Chelsea and Bayern Munich and Chelsea have no new injury concerns.

David Luiz has however returned to action and could play for the first time this season, after recovering from a hamstring injury.

There is no place in the 26-man squad for Samuel Eto’o or Willian. The two new signings, both arriving from Anzhi Makhachkala this week, were not signed up in time to be considered for the fixture in Prague.

The other question marks revolve around who will play up front after squad rotation has seen three different operators for Mourinho so far this campaign. Meanwhile it remains to be seen if Juan Mata is given the chance to shine from the start, after appearing to be out of favour with Jose Mourinho at the start of the current season.

Bayern Munich have injury concerns in the midfield. Thiago Alcantara is definitely out with a severe ankle injury, meanwhile, Javi Martinez and Bastian Schweinsteiger both travel to the game - despite carrying knocks.

Holger Badstuber, a long term absentee, will also miss the tie.

Much has been made of this fixture because of the rivalry between the coaches, Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho. The duo often came to verbal blows during their respective times as Barcelona and Real Madrid managers. However neither man was drawn on that rivalry before the game.

Guardiola referred to Mourinho as ‘a master’ while Mourinho was quick to point out that neither he nor Guardiola actually got their respective team to this match.

The game will present a chance for Mourinho to win his first trophy of his second spell with the London club, and his seventh overall with the club.

Finally, and Demba Ba has not been called up for the most recent Senegal squad.

It comes as he struggles to hold down a spot in the first-team at Stamford Bridge.
