Oleg Melentyev, who is departing Bank of America, will join Frankfurt-based Deutsche Bank AG as head of U.S. credit strategy in New York.

Bloomberg reports that Melentyev will report to Dominic Konstam, global head of rates research.

In the meantime, The Wall Street Journal's MoneyBeat column reports that longtime Bank of America Merrill Lynch financial institutions banker Michael Tan has left the bank, but will remain in Hong Kong to take up a similar role at Credit Suisse, according to people familiar with the matter.

Tan joined Merrill Lynch in 2004, and was most recently managing director and head of Asia Pacific financial institutions in Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s investment banking division.

And Reuters reports that Barclays hired two investment bankers to lead its global metals and mining team, luring them away from rival UBS and boutique investment bank Liberum Capital.

The bank said on Thursday that Paul Knight and Michael Rawlinson will be co-heads of the team and will join Barclays in the fourth quarter.

Finally, Bloomberg reports that Barclays has hired Deutsche Bank Vice President Zhou Bo for its investment banking team to help cover natural-resources clients in China.

Zhou, who is based in Hong Kong, will join the London-based bank as a vice president in late October,
