There are no 'easy' fixtures in the modern format of the Champions League but there are few clubs who have it tougher than Scottish Premier League winners Celtic, who were drawn into Group H along with Barcelona, AC Milan and Ajax.
While the draw gives Bhoys fans a number of glamorous away ties to look forward to, the man tasked with navigating Celtic's progression into the knockout stages, Neil Lennon, is under no illusions over the magnitude of the challenge.
'I think it's the best and worst we could have got,' Lennon explained to Sky Sports News following the UEFA draw in Monaco earlier today, Thursday. 'In terms of glamour you couldn't ask for more but it terms of football, it's the most difficult group we could have got.'
Celtic only secured their group status on Wednesday evening, when they defeated Shakhter Karagandy by a 3-2 aggregate scoreline. Lennon added that the club are still on a high after that result and believes it allows the team to enjoy their football throughout the tournament proper.
'The hard work was done last night so we can now go on and enjoy this competition. In terms of travel, it's not that bad; three great football arenas with fantastic pedigree. We're looking forward to three great nights at least in Celtic Park.
'But it's going to be hugely difficult.'
